On July 29, 2023, the Deoca Practical Training Center hosted the 2023 Good Management and Operations Contest, organized by the Trade Union of Deoca Traffic Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (HHV), in collaboration with the HHV Executive Board and Deoca Group Trade Union.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

45 contestants from 5 road tunnel management enterprises, including Deoca, Cu Mong, Hai Van, Mui Trau, and Phuoc Tuong – Phu Gia tunnel, participated in the contest comprising fire prevention and rescue force and maintenance personnel.<\/p>\n

The contest attracted the attention and response of a large number of workers<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The goal of the contest is to create a healthy and practical playground to improve workers’ skills, management capacity, and achieve production goals for HHV and the Group. Through the contest, employees are encouraged to participate in union activities, spread Deoca corporate culture, and select skilled personnel for the Group’s upcoming projects.<\/p>\n

Guests at the contest included Dr. Doan Viet Hung – Vice Principal of Central College of Transport 5 and Captain Phan Thanh An – Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Danang City Police.<\/p>\n

Mr. Vo Thuy Linh, HHV’s Vice Chairman, stated that HHV is a Deoca Group member tasked with managing and operating national transportation infrastructure projects. HHV currently manages 7 road tunnels (25km) and 275km of expressways and national highways. \u201cGiven the crucial importance of operational management, including fire prevention, rescue, maintenance, and repair, I urge the competition teams to actively engage, prioritize research, creativity, and skill enhancement to exceed the assigned tasks’ requirements\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

The contest consists of two parts: theory and practice. The theory section tests knowledge in driving, electricity-mechanics, road tunnel operation management, and Deoca culture. In the practical part, contestants practice using fire hoses, rescuing vehicles, handling vehicle fires outside the tunnel, and cleaning the VMS board in the tunnel.<\/p>\n

Completing the theoretical exam, Mr. Dang Ngoc Tan – Cu Mong tunnel fire prevention and rescue officer shared: ” I found the theoretical questions relevant to our job. I’m confident I did well in the exam and will excel in the practical one too”.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The prize structure includes 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize, 2 Consolation Prizes for the collective prize group; 2 First Prizes, 2 Second Prizes, 2 Third Prizes for individual prize groups and many other attractive secondary prizes.<\/p>\n

Colonel Truong Hong Hai – Senior Advisor of the Group expressed his confidence in the capacity and experience of Deoca “warriors” through practical effectiveness in managing and operating many traffic projects in all regions.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The contest had a lively competitive atmosphere, and contestants performed well with good scores. The jury highly praised the contestants’ knowledge, skills, and practical abilities..<\/p>\n

Hai Van Tunnel Team is an excellent team that won the First Prize of the competition and the sub-award for excellent car rescue in the tunnel<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Mr. Nguyen Ba Nhan – Hai Van team and Mr. Ho Xuan Hung – Phuoc Tuong – Phu Gia team excellently won First Prize in the individual prize<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Advisor Hoang Van Hai – Head of the jury of the theoretical exam said that the competition is extremely necessary to strengthen operational management skills for workers at factories.\u201c The Organizing Committee made great efforts to carefully and seriously organize the contest, ensuring its effective execution. The candidates’ theory tests demonstrate strong understanding of their work. I’m highly satisfied with their quality”, advisor Hoang Van Hai affirmed.<\/p>\n

Mr. Le Chau Thang – Deputy General Director of HHV, member of the Jury commented: “The contest enhances employee exchange, knowledge sharing, and capacity building in operations management. Closing the contest, Mr. Vo Thuy Linh congratulated the successful contest and welcomed the competitive spirit of the staff. “In the process of managing and operating traffic works, in addition to performing your duties, you must always pay attention to the safety of yourself and other traffic participants”<\/em>, Vice Chairman of HHV reminded.<\/p>\n

In the coming time, DCG Trade Union will continue to organize similar professional competitions and replicate them in other areas throughout the system.<\/p>\n
