PO – Realizing the danger of hundreds of motorbikes traveling on the pass, Da Nang authority has cleared Hai Van Tunnel after many months of temporary stop because of the Covid – 19 epidemic to free transfer people and their motorbikes back to their hometown.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyday since July 25, the Da Nang City Traffic Police has supported two groups back to their hometown to avoid the epidemic from the southern provinces at dawn and dusk. Each group contained from tens to two, three hundred motorbikes. In order to ensure the safety of people when traveling through the locality, the Police has requested the Board of Management (BOM) of Hai Van Tunnel to reopen the transit service of people and vehicles through the Tunnel. This service was suspended from May 2021. After tranfered from the checkpoint of Hoa Khuong commune (Hoa Vang district) to the Hai Van tunnel transfer station, people would be guided to their motorbike transfer area.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The BOM\u2019s force disinfected the entire vehicles before carefully put the people \u2018s motorbikes on specialized trucks to protect their property.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

According to Mr. Pham Hoang An, Director of Hai Van Tunnel Transfer Station Enterprise, the BOM supported the transshipment of about 1.500 people and 700 motorbikes through the Tunnel today (July 29).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll vehicles were disinfected before carried. Buses tranfered people through the Tunnel can only contain a maximum of 19 people (29 seats) to ensure their safety,” Mr. An said.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The people’s luggages is also disinfected before being carried on the transfer buses. Intended to go to the pass to return, however, Mr. Trinh The Tu (born in 1990, Thanh Hoa) was guided by the traffic police to be free tranfer through the Tunnel. \u201cIt’s safer to go through the Tunnel, I’m less worried due to this support. The people are guided to move onto buses, each of them only contained no more than 19 people. The buses also did not turn on the air conditioner. The people are asked to limit chatting in there and simultaneously strictly comply with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health on the epidemic prevention.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The buses were arranged with a transparent partition between the driver seat and the rest area. Drivers were equipped with standard protective suits. After completing each of transfer times, both the drivers and the buses were disinfected.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

According to Lieutenant Colonel Pham Quyen, Deputy Head of Hoa Nhon Traffic Police Station, on the first day, our plan was go on the pass and hand the people groups over to Thua Thien Hue Police at the checkpoint area. However, realizing the danger when traveling on the pass, the Da Nang City Police proposed the Hai Van Tunnel\u2019s BOM to clear the free transit service for people to return to their hometown to avoid the epidemic.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMost of the people arrived at dawn and dusk so traveling on the pass is quite dangerous. Most of their vehicles were also not good enough to go on the pass. Therefore, the traffic police force proposed to clear the Tunnel. The transfer process was required to ensure the 5K principle. The traffic polices participating in the support was also asked to be careful and limit contact to ensure safety”, said Lieutenant Colonel Quyen.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
