The HHV’s rescue force and functional forces promptly rescued the driver trapped by the vehicle overturned on the Hai Van Pass.

At about 1.50 PM on January 13, 2023, the Hai Van Tunnel Operations Center discovered that the vehicle had overturned on the pass. The route management unit appointed the rescue and medical forces to rescue the victim and coordinate traffic in the accident area.

At the scene, the tank truck with plate 74H-000.71 moving from the South to the North overturned, causing fuel overflow, and someone was trapped in the cabin. The management unit quickly organized the rescue. About 30 minutes later, the trapped victim was successfully freed by the HHV’s force and the local Firefighting and Rescue Police Department, given first aid, and taken to the hospital.

The management unit washed the road surface and added sand to the locations with oil slicks to ensure the safety of the vehicles.
