On February 10, 2023, Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee held the groundbreaking ceremony of the Prenn pass upgrade and expansion project.

Prenn Pass is the gateway connecting Da Lat City with Lien Khuong Airport and Dau Giay – Lien Khuong Expressway. It is the leading traffic road to Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern provinces.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy – General Director of HHV Company, on behalf of the contractor consortium, gave a speech

The project is important in ensuring traffic safety and promoting local economic development. The project is a Grade III mountainous transport project, with a length of about 7.37 km, the starting point is at Km221+680 at the foot of Prenn Pass, and the endpoint is at Km229+049.74 on National Highway 20.

Delegates pressed the button to start the project.

The project has a total investment of 550 billion VND, invested by the PMU of Lam Dong province. Deo Ca Traffic Infrastructure Investment Company (HHV) – Deo Ca Construction Company (DCC) is a contractor consortium expected to complete the project before December 31, 2023.

“To perform complicated items in the project, we must approach the construction site, including locations with deep pools. The construction process must comply with approved measures and ensure absolute labor safety,” said Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy.

Immediately after winning the bid, the consortium mobilized more than 200 highly qualified employees and more than 80 machines and equipment and organized ten prows of construction to be ready to build right after the groundbreaking ceremony. In addition, the consortium’s representative said they would work even on weekends and holidays to strive to complete the project ahead of schedule.

“During construction, we always closely coordinate with relevant units to promptly solve problems. The contractor is committed to completing the project with quality, schedule, and safety,” said Mr. Huy.

Machines are ready for construction right after the groundbreaking ceremony.

The HHV’s General Director added: “In addition to preparing personnel and machinery, we have also enhanced our capital capacity for the upcoming period. In 2022, HHV increased its capital by over 400 billion VND, and the current charter capital reached over 3,000 billion VND.

HHV and DCC are two subsidiaries of Deo Ca Group, rich in capacity and experience in investment and construction of road traffic infrastructure. These and Deo Ca Group have completed a series of large and complicated traffic projects nationwide.
