On December 31, 2022, Hai Van Tunnel Operations Center and The Firefighting and Rescue Force promptly supported handling the fire at Hoa Khanh Industrial Park.

Immediately after reporting to the BOM, the watch officer adjusted the duty positions and dispatched one 6m3 fire truck and one 13m3 STEC vehicle with supporting equipment (oxygen tanks, demolition tools, …) for troubleshooting.

At 8.40 A.M., the fire broke out violently; black smoke covered the entire 100m high factory area of the Plastic Company on Road 6 at the Industrial Park. Hai Van Tunnel Firefighting and Rescue Force quickly arrived, approached, and deployed the firefighting.

By 9.40 A.M., the fire was extinguished, and the scene was basically controlled. The Fire and Rescue Police Department of Lien Chieu District recognized and highly appreciated the professionalism and timely support of Hai Van Tunnel Firefighting and Rescue Force.

Previously, on December 30, 2022, Deo Ca Traffic Infrastructure Investment Company (HHV – the operator of Hai Van tunnel) received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of Da Nang City People’s Committee and the Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee praised excellent achievements in management and operation of Hai Van tunnel from 2021 through 2022. On the same day, the Da Nang City Police also awarded a certificate of merit to HHV for ensuring the security and safety of the society in the region. HHV’s efforts in recent years have contributed to the socio-economic development of the locality and the whole country.
