At 11.17 A.M on May 14, 2022, when the truck with the plate 75H-004.72 traveled to Km5+171 of Hai Van 2 tunnel, the two right rear tires suddenly fell out, causing the truck to collide with the wall tunnel. At that time, one driver and one person were sitting in the truck.

Immediately after the accident, the Operation Management Center of Deo Ca Traffic Infrastructure Investment Company promptly directed the southern rescue force to approach the scene and divide traffic. At the same time, the Center dispatched a rescue truck to pull the truck to the nearest parking spot 100m away for repair and to ensure normal operation of traffic in the Hai Van tunnel.

The accident was handled quickly by the the functional force, so there was no loss of life or property. It also did not cause traffic jams in the tunnel.

Previously, at 7.20 A.M. on May 13, 2022, at Km 0+73 branch N2.1, turning towards Tien Giang on Trung Luong – My Thuan expressway, a container truck with the plate 51D-49674, controlled by the driver Nguyen Quoc Hau, turned over.

As soon as the accident happened, the Operation Management Enterprise of the expressway directed the rescue force and the road patrol team to coordinate with the traffic police to divide traffic to ensure no jams.

The accident damaged one light street pole, one guardrail, and one traffic sign. At 10.00 A.M. on the same day, the Operations Management Enterprise coordinated with provincial rescue force to move the accident vehicle out of the scene and clean the road surface to ensure normal operation of traffic on the expresssway.
